Chatting

• Start a chat. Type in the box at the bottom and press Return. Press Shift Return for a new line. ⌘K starts a new chat.
• Stop a reply with the stop button or Esc.
• Edit or retry. Hover over your message and click the pencil to change it, or use the retry button under a reply. Every version is kept: switch between them with the ‹ 1/2 › arrows.
• Think harder. The brain button asks for a more careful, step-by-step answer, which is useful for math and tricky questions.
• Incognito chats (in the sidebar) are never saved and never read or write memory.
• Find old chats with the search box in the sidebar. It searches inside messages too.
• Export a chat as Markdown, JSON or PDF with the download button at the top right.
• Light or dark. Pick a theme at the bottom of the sidebar, or follow your Mac’s setting.

Replies can be wrong. For facts that matter, turn on web search so the answer cites its sources, and check them.
